Our adoption agency is an “essential service” and our staff is still meeting with birth parents and adoptive families. We have implemented new procedures as outlined by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and the CDC to ensure our staff and clients are kept as safe as possible during this time.
The Building Blocks Adoption Service Inc. staff is staying in contact with our clients and each other through videoconferencing, emails and phone calls during the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Building Blocks Adoption Service Inc. implemented online training for all homestudy assessments 10 years ago. At that time, we also began utilizing web conferencing, texting apps, a cloud-based portal for the creation of adoption files, and created a Disaster Preparedness Plan. Working remotely as well as utilizing all available virtual resources has always been part of our business model. With this, we are ready and are working just as efficiently as before the Pandemic started.
