Why Adoption?
Having both expressed a desire for children while dating we began actively trying for a child after two years of marriage. We were dismayed by our lack of progress and soon found ourselves seeing fertility specialists where success was not found easily. After six years, three rounds of IVF and many heartbreaking losses we were blessed with our daughter. Once she was a year old we continued unsuccessfully with our remaining embryos, a surgery in an attempt to increase our success and another round of IVF. Unable to carry another child on her own now, we were able to obtain one viable embryo during the last round hoping to complete our dream of a second child through surrogacy that was unfortunately unsuccessful.
All this struggle has brought our family closer and reaffirmed our desire and commitment to add another child to our family. Despite the difficulties expressed in our story, we continue to seek experiences, happiness and laughter in our family and daily lives. Our little girl is flourishing and has a very kind heart. We are hoping to share our love and family through adoption.
