What Adoption Means to Us
We’ve considered all our options as a same-sex couple, and the choice for us was clear: newborn adoption. It’s not just about expanding our family; it’s about embracing the uniqueness that each child brings into this world and experiencing all stages of fatherhood. Adoption, to us, means the chance to nurture, to learn, to grow, and to give a child the love they deserve. We often joke that we’re gaining parenting skills from dealing with each other, our kitties, and our nieces and nephews; learning patience, responsibility, and unconditional love. We know it won’t be easy and a different kind of journey, and we don’t promise to be perfect, be we promise to be fully committed and devoted to any child that enters our lives. We’re ready for this incredible journey, and we can’t wait to share it with a little one who will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
