Why Adoption?
When we first got married, we couldn’t wait to become parents. We were thrilled to get pregnant right after our wedding but had no idea what was in store for us. Jess developed a pregnancy induced disease called hyperemesis. This made her extremely ill, which had her body fighting for its life. She was hospitalized most of both pregnancies and relied on IV’s, pumps, and countless medications to keep her stable. Both pregnancies ended with more complications causing premature births. Knowing that getting pregnant again could be a life or death situation we decided that we would grow our family by adoption. Our family does not feel complete and our hearts are longing to love another child. We have several friends in our community who have adopted and shared their amazing journeys with us. We are involved in our local church and feel that our faith will help guide us through this journey.
