Why Adoption?
I had always imagined that I would have met the right person, got married, and had children, but my life did not go the way I had planned it all out in my head. I had focused on my career and finding the perfect person, so time seemed to get away from me. However, I have always had adoption in the back of my mind. It has always been my plan to adopt after having biological children. With failed IVF treatments, I feel that it was a sign that adoption would be my first option all along. A while back, a family friend of ours had adopted two children from Russia. While she was going through the process, I remember feeling envious of her for opening up her heart and home to children in need. I have seen firsthand what a beautiful blessing it is for everyone involved. At this point in my life, I feel that I have the time to devote to a child, financial stability, and desire to provide a good home and life to a child. I am confident that I can provide a loving home to any child and he or she will be very well taken care of!
