Why Adoption?
Growing up Kathryn had a cousin that adopted a baby girl from South Korea. Seeing that a family didn’t have to match made a lasting impact on her. All Kathryn talked about growing up was how she wanted to adopt. When Eric and Kathryn started dating, Kathryn let Eric know how important adoption was to her and how it was her hope to adopt at least two children when she got older. Luckily for Kathryn, Eric was on board. Now that we are a mixed-race family, we love how it has widened our world view and take opportunities to embrace Faith’s cultural heritage because it’s part of her story, and that makes it part of our family’s story. We are so excited to start the journey of adding to our family again through adoption.
