Why Adoption?
Quieonna has always planned on adopting a child as she has a close relationship with an adopted cousin and has an uncle who was adopted as well. She has always admired her aunt and uncle and then later her grandmother’s decision to adopt. Quieonna expressed this to John who hadn’t considered adoption before but was fully supportive. The plan was to have a biological child and adopt a child. After experiencing two pregnancy losses and fertility treatments we felt it was time to shift our focus to adoption. Whether we continue with fertility treatments later on or not we both know in our heart’s adoption is something we are being called to do and feel honored to be able to go through this process. We cannot wait to grow our family and welcome a little one into our home.
