Why Adoption?
We learned that Brittany was not able to have children, pretty early in our relationship. We had spoken about what this meant to us growing our family and how we felt about wanting to become parents. We spoke about adoption and how we would both like to explore growing our family through adoption, if given the opportunity. Once we were married, we did meet with a fertility doctor who confirmed that our chances of becoming pregnant, were not very likely. Our doctor did speak to us about using an egg donor and one of Brittany’s sisters even offered to be a surrogate for us, but we just felt like these paths weren’t meant for us. We knew what we were feeling in our hearts was real and where we wanted to go from there. We are beyond ready and excited to begin growing our family through adoption and would be forever grateful to receive the gift of becoming parents.
