Why Adoption
Adoption has always been a part of our plan to grow our family. When we first started dating, we had many conversations about how one day we’d love to grow our family through adoption. While we didn’t realize infertility would be a part of our story, adoption was never a last choice. Instead, our struggle with infertility made it very clear that adoption is the way we were always meant to grow our family. We don’t have to adopt; we get to adopt! Adoption already is part of our story: when Patrick shares his adoption story I can’t help but have tears roll down my (Theresa) cheeks. There’s something powerful about his story that highlights the sacrifice, love, and value of adoption. Adoption is beautiful. It is redemptive. It is hopeful. It is a living metaphor of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and for that we are thankful. The love we have for our child that we haven’t even met is unmeasurable and we cannot wait to share that love.
