Occupation: I have been a teacher for the last 8 years. I have taught everything from kindergarten to grade 12. Currently I am a middle school and high school teacher at a residential treatment facility for mental and behavioral health.

Occupation: I am a Mental Health Therapist/Equine Therapist who partners people with horses for mental health therapy. I have worked in this job for over 7 years!

Tradition: Going to the horse barn on Christmas Eve, then spending the rest of the evening in Christmas pajamas, eating cookies, and watching Christmas movies.

Why Adoption?
We have always known that our family would be grown through a combination of ways. When we learned of our infertility, there was no doubt in our minds that our adoption story would start sooner rather than later. We believe that a family is made in any gathering of people where love is the foundation. Adoption is no different. The love offered to a child through the choice of adoption is one of the purest loves we can imagine; and we are thrilled to see that love continue to grow. For us, adoption is love, and that extends to finding and providing the best care for a child of any race, ethnicity, gender, or background in our home.
