Why Adoption?
We feel that adoption is what’s going to make us an ‘us’. We also feel there has been true joy missing from Ali’s life despite daily blessings, because of her many years of infertility. She desperately wants to mother a child. In fact becoming a stepmom to teenagers whom have needed independence more than another mom, has made this decision even more desirable for us to do now. Ali’s infertility struggles have been deeply felt by us both, especially because it is our desire to raise a child of our own together. We both had originally wanted to adopt at this point in our lives, even before facing infertility together. Tom adopted his first child at only 8 months old, because her father was absent from her life, and since it has been such a beautiful experience, he has wanted to do it again.
