Why Adoption?
We chose the route to grow our family through adoption because of the struggle of infertility. At the young age of 16, Shannon was diagnosed with turner syndrome which led to cancerous ovaries. At the same time, she learned about a hole in her heart. She had to have surgery to remove her ovaries/fallopian tubes and open heart to fix the hole in her heart in the span of a month. Although having gone through a lot at a young age, Shannon now lives a healthy life with no issues from the late discovery and hopes to grow a family with Travis in alternative ways. We feel that God has plans for us to grow our family and adoption will help us fulfill our dreams and that plan.
