Why Adoption?
Early in our relationship, we spoke often about adopting in the future. We also wanted to try and have biological children, agreeing that if we still felt the same way about adoption in a few years we would pursue it. Due to high-risk labor and deliveries, and because we know it in our hearts, we are done having biological children. The constant however for us has always been, and now more than ever, that we want to grow our family through adoption. And now we have this amazing opportunity to give a new baby two caring, playful and protective big brothers. We also constantly think about what adoption would mean and do for us. Now that we’re parents, we have a strong desire to support a birth parent in what we believe is the most selfless decision any person can make. We are so excited to welcome a baby of any gender or racial background, we truly have no preference. We look forward to lovingly and thoughtfully celebrating a new baby’s ethnic heritage throughout his or her life!
