Why Adoption?
We’ve had the desire to adopt long before we knew each other, and our desire to adopt continued to grow after we were married. Will had a family member who was placed for adoption as an infant, and we’ve come to see the hope and healing that is possible through adoption. While we had our own plans to begin growing our family biologically first, that doesn’t appear to be the path God had for us. While there is sadness in our infertility, we are thrilled to start the journey of growing our family through adoption and trust in God’s plan for us.
As Christians, we believe that God has a purpose when he creates us diversely. He does that to celebrate our differences and to help us learn from each other’s experiences. We would happily welcome a child of any gender or ethnicity into our home and would commit to helping that child discover the uniqueness of their cultural background.
